Stairway wall panel ideas for tall walls

The stairs often have the tallest walls in the house. That makes them a natural place for a panel wall. Vertical slats follow the height of the space and draw the eye up.

Pick a finish that matches the floors on each level, or a contrasting tone that makes the staircase stand out. Browse panels by color to find yours, and order samples to see them in the light on your stairs.

Follow the line of the stairs

Run the panels at full height for a clean, tall wall. Or stop them in a straight line that follows the angle of the steps.

Cut the panels to length with a fine-toothed saw. End lamellas finish the edges with a clean line along the stairs and at the ceiling. Our installation guides show every step.

A quieter way between floors

Stairs carry sound from floor to floor. Voices, footsteps and the TV downstairs travel up the hard walls. Every Akupanel has an acoustic felt backing with Class A sound absorption, so it softens that sound before it spreads through the house.

Soft light on the way up

Lumi LED light behind the panels gives the stairs a soft glow, a calm evening light on the way to bed. Add a Feya wall lamp on the landing for a warm, finished look.
