What installation products do you offer for fitting Akupanels?

This range includes purpose-made products for fitting Akupanels: screws, mounting adhesive, end lamellas and a spirit level.

How do the Akupanel screws work, and how many do I need per panel?

The screws are self-tapping and fix Akupanels through the felt backing and into the wall. Each pack contains 100 screws, and you will use around 15 screws per panel.

Will the screws tear the felt backing?

They are designed to pass cleanly through the felt without tearing, leaving a near-invisible fixing point between the slats.

Can I fit Akupanels directly to the wall with adhesive?

Yes. The mounting adhesive is a 290 ml construction adhesive for fitting Akupanels directly to the wall; apply, press, and it bonds in 20 to 30 seconds.

Which surfaces does the Akupanel Mounting Glue work on?

It works on most dry surfaces, including plasterboard, brick and concrete.

Do I need a sealant gun for the Akupanel Mounting Glue?

If you do not already have one, you will need a standard sealant gun sized for 290 to 340 ml cartridges, which matches the Akupanel Mounting Glue. It can be reused with any standard-sized cartridge.

What is an end lamella used for?

An end lamella is an MDF frame, veneered on three sides, that creates a clean border around your Akupanel installation. It finishes the edges neatly and helps conceal gaps between the panels and the surrounding wall or ceiling.

Why should I use a spirit level when fitting Akupanels?

It helps you get your first row of panels perfectly straight so the rest follow. It is small enough to sit between slats while you work.
