Your bedroom is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at night. It should feel calm. Bedroom wall panels behind the bed

The wall behind the bed is the natural place to start. Panels here work as a headboard that runs the full height of the room, with no separate headboard to buy.

Panel the full wall for a hotel-like feel, or center three or four panels behind the bed to frame it. Vertical slats draw the eye up and make the ceiling feel higher. Add a pair of Feya wall lamps on the panels, and you have bedside lighting without wires across the wall.

Accent wall ideas beyond the headboard

Not every bedroom needs a headboard wall. Some of our favorite bedrooms use panels on the wall opposite the bed, around a window or on a sloped ceiling.

A warm oak tone feels close to nature and works with linen and soft textiles. Darker finishes give a large room a cozy, enclosed feel. Colored Akupanels in soft, muted tones bring calm without the coldness of a painted wall. Browse the photos above to see what’s possible.

A quieter room for better rest

Hard surfaces make a bedroom sound bigger and colder than it is. The felt backing on every Akupanel absorbs sound with Class A sound absorption.

It takes the edge off footsteps, voices from the next room and the hum of the street. The room sounds softer, which makes it easier to wind down at the end of the day.

Nursery wall panels that grow with your child

A nursery changes fast. Panels give the room a calm, warm base that still works when the cot becomes a bed and the bed becomes a desk.

Add shelves, hooks for small jackets or Liva covers between the slats, and move them up the wall as your child grows. Wood-like Akupanels have a surface you can wipe clean with a damp cloth, which helps in a room with small hands.

Make your bedroom work harder

Bedrooms are often short on storage. Add a shelf by the bed for books, a coat rail for tomorrow’s clothes or a mirror, all on the panels. Explore the full Create collection for more.

Soft Lumi LED light glowing from behind the wall gives you a gentle evening light that’s easier on the eyes than a ceiling lamp. In a larger bedroom, an Embrace room divider can screen off a dressing area or a small home office corner.
