Louise shares how their coastal lifestyle blends tranquility with modern design. Their acoustic panels enhance both sound and style, seamlessly fitting into the elegant interior.
Add chapter blocks to build this list.
We had the pleasure of visiting Louise in her beautiful home in Norrlandet, Gävle, where she lives with her husband and their two children, Frances and Oscar.
The family lives in a modern house with an open floor plan, high ceilings, and concrete floors – a combination that presented some challenges with sound and acoustics.

When the family moved into their new home, they quickly noticed that acoustics were an issue.
The open floor plan, combined with high ceilings and concrete floors, created a sound environment that needed to be addressed.
Louise explains, “The main reason for installing acoustic panels was to improve the sound, and it has really worked well.”

After installing the panels, the sound environment has improved significantly. The family has eliminated echo, making it much easier to communicate with each other.
Louise explains, “We can hear each other much better, and the overall noise level in our home has become much more pleasant.”
This change has contributed to a more harmonious and comfortable everyday life for the entire family.

The greatest benefit has been the significant reduction in echo, which has created a much more pleasant and calm atmosphere throughout the entire home.
One of the unique solutions in Louise’s home was working with two panels stacked on top of each other due to the high ceilings.
“Since we have quite high ceilings, we had to use two panels on top of each other and decided to add a finishing trim in between,” Louise explains.
The custom-designed trim seamlessly connects the panels, contributing to a cohesive and well-thought-out style. “The carpenters did an amazing job with all the details, and we’re super happy with the result.”

In addition to improving the acoustics, the panels have also added an aesthetic advantage to the home.
Louise and her family feel that the panels have created a warm and inviting atmosphere. “We also feel that once the panels were installed, they contributed to a much warmer and cozier feel in our home,” says Louise.
This combination of function and beauty has transformed their house into an even more comfortable and welcoming place to be.
