Great quality panels and delivery in the Netherlands
Awesome product! Stylish and trendy. A few panels make a huge difference. Easy to install.
Very fast shipping and good support. What I really liked is the quality of the wood and the fact that the MDF part is colored thoroughly. When sawing the panels the wood it remained free of splinters.
Fortunatly I can revise the review below. Woodupp had a christmas stop for 3 weeks and was overwelmed with requests. The shipment is on its way and I’m sure it will arrive save. Old review: I hope I can revise this review soon. I placed an order beginning of december. Unfortunately the shipment didn't arrive yet. I fully understand that with the current circumstances shipments are being delayed. But what worries me is that there is no response at all on my several requests for a status update of the shipment
order delivered in France with no issues. Good product and nice result after installation, however we had not realized the wood beams were not in plain wood, but only surfaced wooden sheets - So the cutting required extra care. Overall, this is good looking in our office and we recommend it !

Woodupp’s team is very service minded. Speedy delivery from factory. Unfortunately transport was delayed which I believe was related to transport company and public holidays. Apart from that, very satisfied.

Clear communication and answers to raised questions. Swift shipment to Belgium. And most important: great quality and significant impact on the acoustics. Several compliments yet received on the wall panels.

Carefully designed to reduce the noise level in your room

Do you find it hard to hear what people are saying? Problems with poor acoustics are a big problem in many rooms, but a slatted wall or ceiling allows you to create acoustic comfort for yourself and the people you surround yourself with.

Sound is made up of waves and when sound hits a hard surface, it is still reflected back into the room, causing reverberation. The acoustic panels, however, break and absorb the sound waves when the sound hits the felt and the slats. This prevents the sound from being reflected back into the room, which ultimately eliminates reverberation.

The Akupanel measures 2400 x 600 mm and consists of slats 11 mm deep and 27 mm wide, with a 13 mm gap between them. The slats are mounted on a base of acoustic felt. The newly developed acoustic felt is made of recycled material and is 9 mm thick. The panel is 22 mm thick in total, including the slats and the felt.

Sound class A – the best possible rating

In an official sound test our Akupanel achieved the highest possible rating – sound class A. To achieve sound class A, you must place mineral wool behind the panels (see our installation instructions). However, you can also install the panels directly on the wall, in which case the panels achieve sound class D, which is also very effective in reducing sound.

As you can see from the graph, the panels are most effective at frequencies between 300 Hz and 2000 Hz, which is the usual sound levels experienced by most people. In reality, this means that the panels dampen both high and low sounds. The graphic above is based on acoustic panels mounted on a 45 mm thick strip with mineral wool behind the panels.

We care about the environment. That is why we prefer to use sustainable materials in our products.

Felt made of recycled plastic bottles

The felt

Our acoustical felt is made from recycled plastic, which means we take a waste product and turn it into something useful and beautiful.

The felt is designed to absorb the sound waves and dampen the sound.

MDF board

The slats

Our core consists of a medium density fibreboard and is available in black or natural.

The slats create diffusion, which essentially means that they break the sound waves and thereby dampen the sound.

Wood from sustainable forestry

The surface

All the wood we use comes from sustainable forestry, which ensures that the forest can reproduce more trees than cutted.

In addition, our supplier provides good working conditions for the people working in the forest, while protecting and respecting the wildlife in the forest.

You do not need to be a professional to install the panels. It is the perfect DIY project.

For most people, installing the panels would be an entertaining DIY project. It is very simple – you can cut the panels with almost any saw and fix it with screws through the felt. It could not be simpler.

If you prefer to watch DIY projects only on TV, then you should hire a joiner/carpenter to do the work for you. He shouldn’t take long – your local joiner could easily install it for you. Just show him the installation instructions.

We are happy to help you. If you have any questions, just let us know.

My Wall are higher than 2.4m, what do I do?

This is not too much of a problem, the panels can be butted up to each-other, to achieve any length you desire. We have an example of this on Instagram –  Clik here

Can I mount the panels directly to the wall?

Of course. Mounting the panels directly to the wall is not a problem however if you would like to achieve the best acoustic coefficient, you will need to use the batten system as set out in our installation guide.

What’s the lead time?

Delivery time is approximately 3-5 days.

Can I get the panels in another size?

No. We only have a standard size of 240 cm 60 cm x 2,2 cm. However, the panels can be cut to make it fit any surface. Furthermore the panels can be mounted in extension of each other if needed.

Where are you based?

We have an office near Loughton, Essex. We have some of the panels in our warehouse that you are able to view, upon request however the office is not manned by our staff at all times.
