What are WoodUpp Akupanels made from?

Akupanels are MDF slats finished with real wood veneer or high-pressure laminate, mounted on an acoustic felt backing.

What size is a standard Akupanel?

A standard panel measures 94 1/2 × 23 5/8 inches and covers 15.5 square feet. Standard thickness is 7/8 inch.

Can Akupanels be cut to fit my space?

Yes. Cut the MDF slats with a fine-toothed saw and trim the acoustic felt with a sharp knife.

Can I install Akupanels on ceilings as well as walls?

Yes. Akupanels can be installed on both walls and ceilings.

What is the difference between Natural Wood and Wood-Like Akupanel finishes?

Natural Wood uses real wood veneer on every slat, so no two panels look the same. Wood-Like gives you the look of wood with a more consistent finish, without the natural variation of real veneer.

Will the wood panels look exactly the same from panel to panel?

Not quite. Real wood veneer means colour, grain and texture vary from panel to panel; for a more uniform look, choose a finish with a high-pressure laminate surface.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary, and you will see the exact delivery window at checkout.

What is your returns policy? (100 days)

Akupanels are covered by a satisfaction guarantee; contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorisation number and return products in like-new or original condition within 100 days for a full refund.

Acoustic panels

Explore Akupanels, our Class A acoustic system that calms echo in living rooms, offices, kitchens, and home cinemas. The collection comes in three core types — Natural Wood made from handpicked veneer for real grain and authenticity, Wood-like made from foil for the same look in a fade-resistant, wipeable finish, and Colored panels for a statement wall that helps shape the mood of a room. All slats are cut and assembled by hand at our own factories in Ribe, Denmark and Mount Airy, USA, with softly rounded edges and exact spacing. Use a single panel as a feature wall, or run them across a whole surface for a fuller effect.
